Uganda national museum closes Temporary
Uganda national museum closes Temporary as per the guidance of The Ministry of Tourism, Wildlife, and Antiquities(MoTWA)
A portion of the proceeds are being used by the Ugandan government, with funding from the World Bank through the Competitiveness and Enterprise Development Project (CEDP-AF), to carry out tasks like digitising, cataloguing, training, and restoring, renovating, and restoring the Uganda National Museum to conform to international standards.
The oldest museum in East Africa, the Uganda National Museum, serves as a reminder of our rich cultural history.
It contains collections of traditional life, natural history, and ethnology that are a source of pride for the country.
Notwithstanding its historical significance, the museum has not received substantial funding since 1954—until now.
In contrast, a few expansions were added in 1962, such as the Natural History Gallery and the Independence Gallery, both of which require restoration.
Furthermore, if reservations are made in advance, the Department of Museums and Monuments offers a complete outreach program of mobile museum services.
