The flight was traveling from Dallas, Texas, to Indianapolis, Indiana, when the incident occurred at approximately 8:30 p.m.

A Southwest representative informed the BBC’s US partner, CBS News, that “a bullet apparently struck the right side of the aircraft under the flight deck.
According to an airport spokeswoman, passengers disembarked the jet after it returned to its gate affecting tourism.
