New Zealand tourist killed in robbery at Southern California mall of Los Angeles an expensive mall in a well-known coastal community.

A automobile struck and kills a 68-year-old New Zealand tourist during a failed heist, according to authorities.

Officers from Newport Beach would then take the males into custody.

At a press conference, Newport Beach police Sgt. Steven Oberon states that two men—one armed with a gun—attempt to rob a woman and her husband who are Tourists.

Robing is at a Barnes & Noble store on Tuesday afternoon, sparking violence inside the Fashion Island mall.

According to Oberon, one of the suspects dragged the woman into the street, where she was slain by a third man operating a white automobile.

The three males then made off with the sedan.

Police names the woman as Patricia McKay, 68, a visitor from New Zealand.

After pursuing the three suspects in the white automobile onto an interstate, Newport Beach police officers apprehended the males.

During the heist, according to the police, one of the suspects shot his gun three times, but no one was hit.

New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon describes the murder as “an absolute tragedy.”

Luxon claims to be quite familiar with McKay’s husband, former bank chairman Doug McKay.

It’s a wonderful family, and he’s a great man.

Luxon says, “I think the family will be in huge shock and all our thoughts and prayers are with them.”

A representative for New Zealand’s Foreign Ministry says via email that consular staff are offering support to the family of a citizen who was slain in Newport Beach, without mentioning Patricia McKay by name.
