The event will bring crisis management, long-term transformation, and tourism resilience to the attention of the world.
The event, is being organized by the Ministry of Tourism and Wildlife of the Government of the Republic of Kenya.
This is in collaboration with the Global Tourism Resilience and Crisis Management Centre (GTRCMC), will provide a high-level international forum for investors, industry leaders, policymakers, and development partners.
The conference and expo, which has as its topic “Tourism Resilience in Action:
From Crisis Response to Impactful Transformation,” will examine workable, forward-thinking ideas intended to improve the tourist industry’s capacity to endure and adjust to shocks from across the world.
The curriculum will concentrate on topics such as workforce development, sustainability and climate resilience, digital and data-driven tourism systems, disaster preparedness, and community-based tourism models.
Edmund Bartlett, Jamaica’s Minister of Tourism, spearheaded the Global Tourism Resilience Day campaign and has been instrumental in bringing tourism resilience to the attention of the world.
Bartlett has played a pivotal role in advancing resilience, readiness, and recovery as fundamental tenets of sustainable tourism development globally, serving as the impetus behind the creation of the Global Tourism Resilience and Crisis Management Centre (GTRCMC).
His persistent support has contributed to the positioning of Global Tourism Resilience Day as a forum for governments, business, and academics to discuss long-term change and new dangers.
In addition to the conference schedule, the expo will give organizations a chance to present resilience-driven products, services, and technology to a worldwide audience.
In order to establish themselves as thought leaders in the quickly changing resilience and recovery landscape, exhibitors will interact directly with senior government officials, tourism authorities, and leaders of the commercial sector.
Prior to the formal opening, the exhibition will have 3m × 3m shell-scheme booths with power supply, fascia branding, furniture, and exhibitor passes.
Set-up is planned for February 13–14. Over the course of the three-day event, the venue layout positions exhibitors next to conference rooms and seating areas to promote contact, networking, and knowledge sharing.
Nairobi is positioned as a crucial meeting place for forming the future of tourism, shifting the sector away from crisis reaction and toward inclusive, sustainable, and significant change, as tourism resilience becomes more and more important in international policy and investment talks (GRDCE 2026).
