Passengers sue frontier airlines for catching fire in Las Vegas during landing. Plane had Tourists arriving from San Diego

After their flight from San Diego to Las Vegas caught fire upon landing earlier in October, some passengers are suing Frontier Airlines.

According to the recently filed lawsuit, the fire started when the jet made a hard landing and its tires exploded.

On October 5, Flight 1326 was travelling from San Diego to Harry Reid International Airport with multiple Tourists.

The plane violently crash landed,” according to the plaintiffs’ legal firm.

According to Dimopoulos Law Firm, the fire was caused by the aircraft’s landing gear collapsing upon impact.

The lawsuit was filed in Nevada’s Clark County District Court on Monday, and the three plaintiffs are Eddie Frierson of San Diego and Alberto Cardoso-Ramirez and Ana Figueroa-Cueva of Nevada.

A California man who happens to be a passenger narrates what transpired after the collision.

“We were stranded inside the smoke-filled aircraft for nearly an hour before being evacuated.”

According to Frontier, pilots reported an emergency after spotting smoke during landing.

There were 7 staff members and 190 passengers that include Tourists on board.

According to the lawsuit, the passengers were traumatised and left stuck on the smoke-filled jet for approximately an hour before being rescued.

The plaintiffs allege that in addition to lost pay, medical costs, and home services, the collision resulted in mental distress, pain, and suffering.
The lawsuit claims that the airline’s failure to adequately repair, inspect, maintain, and operate the aircraft in accordance with reasonable safety standards is what caused the damages.

According to the three travellers, the injuries and losses have cost them almost $30,000.

According to an airline spokeswoman, everyone left the area safely on the day of the incident and the event is being looked into by the NTSB.
