UTB and CNN Partner to Promote Uganda Tourism in the Explore Uganda, The Pearl Of Africa Destination Campaign
In order to promote The Pearl of Africa and connect with Tourists and premium audiences across the network.
The Uganda Tourism Board is into a long-term strategic partnership with CNN International to emerge tourists source markets.
The campaign is targeting Europe (UK, France, and Germany) and North America (USA & Canada)
Other sources include Africa, the Middle East, East Asia (China and India), and Asia Pacific.
Positioning Uganda as a sustainable tourism destination is the goal of the multi-platform exclusive “Uniquely Yours” campaign, which consists of articles, films, and social media assets.
Beginning in October 2024, the network’s social media channels will feature the best parts of travelling to Uganda.
Affiliate websites, CNN International.com, CNN Travel, and travel guides will post Travel information about Uganda.
Through the distribution of branded content across film, digital, and social media, the brand campaigns will highlight Uganda’s exceptional depth.
It will target all travellers and adventure seekers, including high net worth individuals (HNWIs) and luxury travellers.

CNNI’s coverage of the location will highlight the distinctive and must-do experiences that visitors may have in Uganda, often known as the “Pearl of Africa.”

According to Lilly Ajarova, CEO of the Uganda Tourism Board, “Our campaign on CNN International will confirm to travel enthusiasts all over the world that Uganda is truly the Pearl of Africa.”
In keeping with the Explore Uganda brand, the campaign will showcase the variety of attractions that await visitors to the Pearl of Africa.
Such include the prospects for sustainable tourism, nature, and exciting, action-packed activities.

It is a home to 11% of the world’s avian diversity (50 percent of Africa’s bird species, 39% of Africa’s animal species), and 54% of the world’s population of mountain gorillas.
Similar print and digital media ads, funded by the Uganda Tourism Board, have been launched on TravelZoo.
This is a travel club for more than 30 million affluent travellers worldwide, and National Geographic Traveller (UK).
The Platform features real travel experiences and perceptive storytelling.
Expedia, a well-known online travel agency with a network of 100,000 travel agents, more than 3,000 DMO-Partners, and 168 million loyalty customers, will also feature the Uniquely Yours Campaign.
