A British Airways aircraft had to make an emergency landing at Manchester Airport due to smoke in the cockpit.
Firefighters met Heathrow-to-Manchester flight BA1369 in a remote area of the runway.
Good news, the passengers were able to depart normally at approximately 4:55 p.m. on Thursday, March 28.
A spokesman for Manchester Airport says, the jet experienced a “minor technical issue.”
And that the decision for the Airlines’ making an emergency landing at Manchester Airport is a precaution.
He went on to say, that the runway remained open during the whole event.
Mean while, two other flights were requested to circle the area before being permitted to land.
Investigations
Following the investigation after BA’s landing and coming to a stop, it was determined that there was “no cause for concern.
” As a result, all passengers were released normally, according to the spokesman.
He says that BA will now look into the cause of smoke in the cockpit on it’s own.
