Golden Gate Park nominated for ‘Best City Park’ in US
Golden Gate Park in San Francisco, United States is among the Top 3 nominations for USA Today’s Best City Park.
The prize is a part of USA Today’s 10Best travel and leisure guide series for Tourists.
In total are 20 parks for nomination around the United States of America.
The hosts of Church of 8 Wheels are the SF landmarks.
Phil Ginsburg, general manager of the San Francisco Recreation says the National Park is breathtaking.
In 2020 during early stages of the COVID-19 outbreak, the park demonstrated its commitment to putting people before cars.
The JFK Promenade will never again be car-free after the Board of Supervisors.
This enactes legislation and San Franciscans affirms their decision in a ballot proposal.
Today, guests enjoy the promenade’s assortment of rotating art pieces and live music performances.
Twenty parks are up for nomination by the USA Today nominating committee.
Up to April 8 at 9 a.m. PT, anyone over the age of 18 may submit one vote every day for the park.
The announcement of the winner will take place on April 17.
Ala Moana Regional Park
Currently, Hawaii’s Ala Moana Regional Park is topping the competition and in sixth position is Golden Gate Park.
This is California’s lone Tourist park to receive a nomination whereas St. Louis’ Forest Park topped in 2023.

It also features sports facilities and a lake.
According to its website, the park came in existence in 1870 on sand dunes that has not been washed.
