ITB Berlin 2024 with a high demand from foreign exhibitors is nearly full. This Exhibition is attended by thousands of Tourism stake holders.

ITB Berlin 2024With just a few weeks until the World’s Leading Travel Trade Show begins, all is going well for ITB.

ITB Berlin is reporting remarkable booking numbers, with nearly 90% of the show space now taken up.

The diverse variety of exhibitors, which includes a notable rise in those from Turkey, Greece and Asia.

Africa, and cruise industries plus the Host Country and Arab states, highlights the event’s worldwide significance.

The exhibition grounds can once again be toured in a circle after renovations.

The new ITB MICE HUB in Hall 8.2, the new ITB Sustainability Lounge in Hall 4.1, and the new hub27 focus on German-speaking nations are some further highlights.

The final weeks leading up to ITB Berlin, which happens from March 5–7, 2024, look quite promising.

With #ITBTOGETHER as its tagline, this year’s unique B2B platform showcases full value chain of the tourism industry.

In a total of 27 rooms, including the Marshall Haus and the Palais am Funkturm.

The new location of the ITB Buyers Circle, exhibitors from 165 countries and territories have confirmed their participation thus far.

hub27: concentrate on nations that speak German

 

This year’s theme in the fully reserved multipurpose hall at hub27 is the German-speaking nations .

These include; Slovenia and Liechtenstein, following the hub’s successful 2023 inauguration.

The Principality is celebrating its comeback to ITB Berlin after a few years away.

Compared to previous year, Austria has a substantially larger space and more co-exhibitors.

Nearly all of the federal States and the German National Tourist Board (DZT) represent Germany.

The latter, like North Rhine-Westphalia, are either co-exhibitors of the DZT or are represented once more on separate booths.

The primary transport providers and airports in Germany are also included in hub27;

These include Deutsche Bahn, Fraport, BER, Flughafen Köln/Bonn, and the airports in Hamburg, Düsseldorf, and Paderborn.

Lastly is Cunard, Holland America, AIDA Cruises, Costa Cruises, and Seabourn.

Now much more global, ITB Berlin 2024

Greece has demonstrated a strong desire for exhibitors at ITB Berlin as of 2023.

On more than 1,000 square metres, Hall 1.1 is home to more than 170 firms, many of which are individual ones.

Albanian and Cyprusian exhibitors are also present in Hall 1.1.

Italy is represented in Hall 1.2 along with a number of co-exhibitors, Malta, Croatia, Kosovo, and Bosnia.

The Spanish travel and tourist sector is likewise well-represented, with a presence in Hall 2.1.

A lot of exhibitors—including the Balearics and Costa del Sol—have enlarged their displays in comparison to 2023.

This year, Ibiza is one of the destinations that has a dedicated stand.

After moving from hub27, Bulgaria is now featured in Hall 3.2.

The United Arab Emirates, along with Bahrain, have a sizable contingent at ITB Berlin, including the Emirates airline.

Saudi Arabia is the biggest exhibitor in Hall 4.2, followed by Jordan, Qatar, and Qatar Airways.

Arab nations are prominently shown in Hall 6.2, where guests can locate Egypt, Iraq (which has returned after a hiatus), Algeria, Tunisia, and Palestine. Hall 21b has representatives from Morocco and Israel.

There are three rooms full of exhibitors, many of whom are from Asia and Oceania.

It’s full house in Hall 5.2a. Among the exhibitors are Australia, New Zealand, India, and the united “Meet the Pacific” stand; the latter two are on much larger exhibits than in 2023.

Now that Hall 10.2 is open again, ITB Berlin says that demand from individual exhibitors is significant. Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Azerbaijan are represented there.

 

Former Host Nations

 

This year’s 500 square metre Hall 11.2 is shared by the former host nation, Georgia, and the nations of Armenia.

More is Moldova, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, and Poland.

The 43 co-exhibitors from the nation are mostly from nearby areas, but there are also travel agencies and LOT Polish Airlines.

For the first time since the epidemic, China is represented in the Asia Hall (Hall 26) with a stand of its own, a large number of new co-exhibitors, and individual businesses like Chengdu.

Along with many other nations and regions, trade visitors may expect to see Mongolia, Malaysia, Laos, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Vietnam, and Thailand—which is represented by all of its provinces—as well as Bangkok Airways.

Africa is the only continent represented in this year’s fully packed Halls 20 and 21.

The strong demand that exhibitors from the Caribbean, Central and South America, and elsewhere this year have demonstrated pleases ITB Berlin as well.

While Guadeloupe, a French Caribbean island, is celebrating its return, Dominica and the Cayman Islands are being represented for the first time on separate stands in Hall 22a.

Mexico and Belize have larger stands in Hall 22b, while Chile, Peru, Brazil, and Venezuela—which has returned after a break—are located, for example, in Halls 23a and 23b.

This year, LATAM Airlines is also participating in exhibits.

The booming travel, cruise, and mobility tech sectors take up a lot of room

ITB Berlin 2024 will again feature a large amount of space for lone exhibitors from the hospitality and travel tech sectors in addition to several national shows.

Thus, Hall 9 has major online platforms like Booking.com, Airbnb, Expedia, and HomeToGo in addition to hotel groups like Accor, Hilton, Best Western, Meininger, Wyndham, and Deutsche Hospitality. Holiday Pirates and Mastercard Europe are two recent additions to the rapidly growing Mobility provider market.

“Take Travel Technology to the next Level” is the motto for the following locations: Halls 5.1, 6.1, 7.1c, 8.1, and 10.1.

In the Travel Tech industry, together, exhibitors from more than 30 nations are showcasing innovative goods and concepts.

These include numerous Chinese enterprises, HeyTrip and Flightroutes.

For example, and Amadeus, Bewotec, Sabre, ICEX Expana, Business Iceland, Business France, and GIATA.

Keynote addresses and educational sessions on adventure travel, responsible tourism, and employment can be found on the ITB Lighthouse Stage.

The ITB Sustainability Lounge powered by Mascontour, located in Hall 4.1, is a new concept being celebrated during ITB Berlin.

The lounge area serves as a casual gathering spot for the community to talk about sustainability-related issues, such as ideas, trends, and solutions for the future of travel.

International involvement in the ITB Career Centre, sponsored by the Federal Employment Agency is even higher in Hall 4.1 than it was in 2023.

Medical and health tourism has grown in importance at ITB Berlin in recent years.

For the first time, Slovenia is participating as an exhibitor and supporting partner in the Medical & Health Pavilion in Hall 3.1, while the Croatian Chamber of Commerce is represented in the Medical Tourism section for the first time.

Longtime Premium partner Barcelona Medical Destination is one of the regular attendees, together with other exhibitors like as FIT Reisen, the Gremi Klinik from Albania, HTI – Health Tourism Industry, and the ESPA – European Spas Association.
