The Turkish village of Centar Župa, which is around an hour’s drive from Ohrid and Struga is good for touring.

Two of Macedonia’s most popular tourist destinations, provides guests with a taste of traditional Macedonian food.

Centar Zupa is one of the most unusual and interesting places to visit in North Macedonia because of its breathtaking mountains, verdant forests, and Turkish-speaking populace.

Ariyan İbrahim, the mayor of Centar Zupa, spoke to the state-run Anadolu Agency about the potential advantages of tourism for the area. He also discussed the ongoing migration crisis and the municipality’s existing infrastructure problems.

The population of Centar Zupa is gradually dwindling, according to the most recent data.

İbrahim notes that there used to be about 10,000 tourists living there.

He clarified that migration from the municipality has recently shifted toward European nations, especially Italy.

The municipality has started a big project to address this migration issue, but there are still certain infrastructure issues that need to be resolved. The problem with a memorial house honoring Ali Rıza Efendi, the father of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the creator of modern Turkey, is one of the municipality’s biggest obstacles.

The museum’s road is difficult to navigate and quite small. Tourists find it difficult to get there impacting tourism.

We take advantage of every chance to bring up this issue with officials in both North Macedonia and Turkey.

İbrahim hoped the problem would be resolved quickly, emphasizing that once it was, tourists would be able to fully appreciate the region’s abundant natural and historical assets.

“The arrival of Turkish visitors has great significance for municipality’s predominantly Turkish populace.

Since 2014, the Ali Rıza Efendi Memorial House has welcomed about 2,000 tourists a year, according to Deniz Hasan.
