In an effort to improve the tourist partnership, a party of over 100 Ugandan tourism stakeholders are visiting Kenya.
The Ugandans will spend a week along the Coast after arriving Wednesday at Mombasa’s Moi International Airport.
Tourism Council chairman stated, “We are here to show our brothers and sisters what the Kenyan Coast has to offer.
Key tourist destinations in Kilifi, Kwale, and Mombasa counties will be visited by the Ugandans during their Coast tour.
Additionally, they will sample the local cuisine and culture related to tourism.
Ikwaye stated, “We will then be able to sell this destination as one.”
This is a component of the partnership between Kenya and Uganda that was established to support travel and tourism.
They are working together to market the locations as a single, cohesive whole that offers tourists traveling to East Africa .

“We are looking for ways to strengthen our partnership, coordination, and cooperation between the two countries, particularly in the tourism industry, as Kenya is our largest source market,” Byamugisha stated.
“We created a phrase called ‘From the Bush to the Beach,’ which means that we want a visitor to East Africa to visit the Bush in Uganda to see the gorillas before traveling to Mombasa to visit the beach,” Byagumisha stated.
She remarked, “I am proud to be Ugandan and to be in Mombasa using my national ID instead of my passport.
