Tourism law, key to develop a more sustainable and inclusive sector

Tomorrow and Wednesday, the Argentine city of Cordoba will host the second edition key to develop a more sustainable and inclusive sector

On November 27th, the University Campus in this Argentine city will host the II International Seminar on Tourism Law.

The national and international referents, will center on the acknowledgement and advancement of tourism law.

On the occasion of the second anniversary of the adoption of the International Code for the Protection of Tourists.

The first edition of the International Seminar on Tourism Law was held in Salamanca to help boost tourism.

The seminar’s focus was on the current state of tourism law. This time, UN Tourism, a specialized agency of the UN.

Goals of the United Nations key to develop a more sustainable and inclusive sector

Tourism sustainability is a top issue on the global agenda in line with the Sustainable Development Goals of the UN.

They will examine the legal issues surrounding sustainable tourism law from the perspectives of economics, the environment, and society.

Along with tourism ministers, government officials, and academic leaders from a variety of nations, the event will feature representatives from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean (CAF), ONCE Foundation, UN Tourism, and other prominent organizations. Using case studies from Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Ecuador, and Uruguay, the seminar will delve deeply into subjects like universal accessibility, environmental conservation and cultural heritage protection, tourist-consumer rights, and sustainable legislation.

It will aim to improve the ability of governments and industry participants to integrate sustainability and accessibility into tourist regulations and practices, with the active participation of industry professionals, referents, and experts from around the globe.
