Delta Air Lines Adds Its Next Winter Atlanta Widebody Service

Delta Air Lines Adds Its Next Winter Atlanta Widebody Service to ease movement of Tourists between Atlanta and San Diego.

For the first time since 2022, Delta Air Lines will fly widebodies between Atlanta and San Diego.
Twin-aisles will operate on ten of the airline’s Atlanta routes between November and February, some of which will have just one flight.
This winter, it intends to operate up to nine widebody departures per day from Atlanta.

Everyone is aware that Atlanta is the busiest airport in the world and the hub for Delta Air Lines.

After Los Angeles and New York JFK, it is the third airport used by SkyTeam members for domestic widebody flights this winter.

The fact that San Diego, which last experienced twin-aisle service in 2022, is getting it again helps Atlanta’s argument.

Boeing 767 heading for San Diego
Delta’s petition to OAG states that starting on November 10, flagship widebodies, the Boeing 767-300ER, will operate the 1,892 nautical mile (3,044 km) route.

The 216-seat facility will operate every day until December 2 and then reopen on December 19 to coincide with the crucial Christmas peak demand for Tourists.

The 767 is scheduled to begin daily operations on September 4 and continue until March 8, 2025.

The timetable from November 11 to December 2 is shown here, with all timings local.

The schedule on November 10, the opening day, is a little different. Beginning on December 19, things will change.

18 Domestic Widebody Routes with the Fewest Service in the USA are being served by an American Airlines Boeing 777-200ER.
By the end of the year, there will be one-way or round-trip flights on all of these routes.
