Man climbs Kilimanjaro with fridge on back

Man climbs Kilimanjaro with fridge on back, the Tourist’s goal in Kilimanjaro Hike is to increase public awareness of mental illness.

In the past, Stafford resident Michael Copeland carried a refrigerator with him when he ascended Snowdon and finished the Three Peaks Challenge in less than a day.

In addition to raising money for the charity Mind, his goal in climbing Kilimanjaro was to increase public awareness of mental illness.

According to Mr. Copeland, the refrigerator stood for the weight that many people had due to mental health issues.

He remarked, “My message is that speaking up about mental health does not make you weak.”

He chose to Hike Kilimanjaro because it is one of the highest peaks that can be scaled without use of ropes

Tourist’s Life after Army

After leaving the Army, Mr. Copeland did bodybuilding, claiming he had been overcoming physical obstacles.

This is 15 years back as a coping mechanism for his own mental health issues.

The former soldier draws a comparison between the weight of bearing mental health difficulties and carrying the fridge.
“I’ve always had that competitive spirit from the Army,” he remarks.

“I’ve been the fridge man for two years, but I’ve always used physical challenges as a way to get over insecurities in myself,” he continues.

“I feel better when I exercise and spend time in nature participating in Tourism activities.”

He stated that his current strategy is to unwind and recuperate from his most recent challenge.

However, he can not completely rule out taking on another one in the future.

Since I’ve been pushing myself since I was fifteen years old, I consider it to be ingrained in my character.
