Hand grenade Joke at Frankfurt Airport German, backfires on a Tourist passenger as a result of a long security queue.
The Austrian national’s actions during the security check are currently being looked into
At Frankfurt Airport, a police probe resulted from a joke made by a Tourist passenger about having grenades.
The Austrian citizen was still unable to board their plane.
The traveller allegedly staged a crime, and the police have launched an investigation into the incident.
After telling airport security at Frankfurt Airport (FRA) that he was carrying three hand grenades, the Tourist later claimed his claims were made in jest.
During a security check, the 37-year-old claimed to have the explosives, and the authorities are currently looking into the event.
Hand grenade Joke at Frankfurt Airport that went wrong sparked a police probe
The Austrian national, 37, was travelling from FRA to Graz Airport (GRZ), Austria, with the Bundespolizei (BPOL) stationed at FRA.
He revealed to workers that he was carrying three grenades during a security check that he thought was going too long.
The reason the travellers kept saying they had the explosives on them was because their flight to GRZ was about to take off, according to the statement.
But the German police officers demanded a second inspection of the Austrian national and his possessions after security personnel called BPOL to obtain an official declaration from him.
The Austrian Tourist missed their flight, according to the German police, who also stated that BPOL had launched an inquiry into the incident and that they had staged a crime.
They said that making comments like this won’t get you through airport security faster.
That being said, you should consider carefully what “jokes” you utter if it takes a little longer.
Particularly in an area where security is a concern, like an airport.
